Assistant Gardener

The position involves the maintenance and care of 10 private villas, including landscaped gardens, surrounding outdoor areas and swimming pool areas.

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on and independent Assistant Gardener who takes pride in maintaining outdoor spaces to a consistently high standard.

The ideal candidate should be proactive, able to identify potential problems before they become noticeable to guests, plan and organise gardening tasks, coordinate assistants and external contractors when necessary, and contribute to the ongoing improvement and development of the gardens.

Key Responsibilities

Garden Maintenance

• Maintain gardens, landscaped areas and outdoor spaces surrounding the villas and swimming pools.
• Care for lawns, trees, shrubs, hedges, ornamental plants and seasonal flowers.
• Carry out pruning, planting and transplanting.

The villas are rented to guests throughout the year, therefore gardening works must be organized with minimum disturbance.

The successful candidate should be able to:

• plan noise or disruptive works appropriately;
• coordinate access to garden areas when required;
• communicate professionally with guests;
• coordinate gardening activities with the villa management team.

Will Be Considered an Advantage

• Experience with private villas, luxury properties or hospitality properties
• Experience creating a garden from scratch or carrying out major garden renovations
• Understanding of landscape design principles
• Experience with palms, olive trees, citrus trees and ornamental plants commonly used in Cyprus
• Experience managing a small gardening team
• Russian language

Employment

• Full-time position
• Permanent, year-round employment
• Work across several company properties in Cyprus
• Assistants may be available to support gardening works
• Specialist external contractors may be engaged when required

• Direct interaction with the company owner and General Manager and Head Gardener.

   

We are looking for someone who does more than simply carry out assigned gardening tasks.
