On behalf of our client, a greenfield fintech SaaS platform, who are redefining how modern organizations manage, automate, and analyse their financial operations, we seek to recruit a Backend Engineer.

Their mission is to build an intelligent, AI-augmented ecosystem that unifies accounting, financial analytics, corporate governance, and process orchestration within a single cohesive experience.  

Career Opportunities

We invite applications from enthusiastic and ambitious individuals who have strong experience in Node.js and NestJS to design and implement scalable, multi-tenant backend services to join our client as a Backend Engineer.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable microservices using Node.js and NestJS

• Build and maintain secure, versioned REST and gRPC APIs

• Develop multi-tenant data models and optimize PostgreSQL performance

• Implement authentication, authorization, and RBAC flows

• Integrate external services and internal platform modules

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code (unit & integration tests)

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices

• Collaborate closely with Frontend, DevOps, and Product teams

• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making

Qualifications & Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript

• Strong hands-on experience with NestJS

• Solid experience with PostgreSQL and ORM frameworks (TypeORM, Prisma, or similar)

• Good understanding of RESTful API and gRPC design

• Experience working with Docker and containerized environments

• Familiarity with AWS services (Cognito, S3, EventBridge, Lambda)

• Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools

• Understanding of authentication flows (OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect)

• Experience with testing frameworks (Vitest, Postman, K6 or equivalents)

• Experience working in monorepo environments

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

• Good English communication skills 

Nice to Have

• Experience with financial, ERP, or accounting systems

• Exposure to AI/ML or analytics-driven applications

• Experience working with BPMN, Camunda, or workflow engines

• Understanding of clean architecture, DDD, or event-driven systems
