Company / Client Overview

On behalf of our client, a well-established multinational corporate services firm with more than 20 years of successful presence in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit two Bookkeepers to join their newly established office in Paphos.

The company provides a comprehensive range of accounting, corporate, tax, compliance, and business advisory services to an international portfolio of clients. As part of its continued expansion, the organization has recently established its presence in Paphos, creating an exciting opportunity for accounting professionals to join a growing and dynamic team.

Role Overview

The successful candidates will be responsible for managing the bookkeeping and accounting requirements of a portfolio of local and international clients while ensuring compliance with Cyprus accounting and tax regulations. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working in a client-focused environment and are looking to further develop their careers within the corporate services sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the bookkeeping and accounting records for a portfolio of local and international clients.
• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and submit VAT and VIES returns within the required deadlines.
• Prepare bank, debtor, and creditor reconciliations.
• Prepare Trial Balances and coordinate with the Audit Department for audit purposes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal procedures.
• Monitor accounting deadlines and maintain accurate client records.
• Provide accounting support and respond to client enquiries professionally.
• Assist with general accounting administration and documentation.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant within an Accounting Firm, Audit Firm, or Corporate Services Provider.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting procedures.
• Hands-on experience preparing VAT and VIES returns.
• Good understanding of Cyprus accounting and VAT legislation.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both Greek and English.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple client portfolios and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Client-oriented mindset with a proactive and professional approach.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

What the Company Offers

• Gross monthly salary: €1,500 – €1,800, depending on qualifications and experience.
• Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 15:30 or 08:00 – 16:00.
• Friday: 07:30 – 14:30 or 08:00 – 15:00.
