Chief Financial Officer - Peletico Group of Companies – Nicosia

Company

Our client, Peletico Group of Companies, is a leading Cyprus-based manufacturer of paints, coatings, and building materials.  They are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive leadership team.

Position

The CFO will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, strategic planning, and operational excellence across the organization. This role requires strong leadership in manufacturing finance, cost control, and capital management, as well as the ability to align financial strategy with the company’s vision for growth, innovation, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and implement Peletico’s financial strategy to support the company’s growth, profitability, and sustainability goals.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the Managing Director on financial planning, capital allocation, and business development opportunities.
• Provide financial insights to guide long-term strategic initiatives, including investments in production efficiency and new market expansion.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring processes across all departments and manufacturing units.
• Implement robust cost accounting systems to control production, material, and logistics costs.
• Identify and execute cost optimization and efficiency improvement initiatives while maintaining product quality standards.
• Ensure accurate margin analysis and pricing models to sustain competitive advantage.

Manufacturing & Operational Finance

• Coordinate with Plant Managers to enhance manufacturing productivity, yield, and resource utilization.
• Establish financial KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate plant efficiency and profitability.
• Manage capital investments for plant modernization, automation, and sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation and control across multiple production and warehouse sites.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to maintain operational flexibility and support business continuity.
• Oversee relationships with banks, auditors to secure optimal financing structures.
• Evaluate funding options for strategic projects.

Compliance, Risk, and Governance

• Ensure compliance with Cyprus financial regulations, tax laws, and international accounting standards (IFRS).
• Oversee statutory audits, internal control systems, and risk management frameworks.
• Protect company assets through effective risk mitigation strategies, including credit and operational risks.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams, promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Plant Managers and the Commercial Director to ensure alignment between financial objectives and business goals.
• Develop financial talent and succession plans to strengthen organizational capability.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance / Economics / Business Administration or relevant field, and holder of an ACCA or ACA qualification.
• A minimum of 5+ years of senior-level experience in Finance and/or Accounting roles.
• Proven expertise in cost accounting, ERP systems, and multi-site manufacturing financial operations.
• IT literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft office suite
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Cypriot tax laws, and financial compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning, capital management, and operational efficiency.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Accountable and a person with Integrity and secrecy.

Location

The position is for the offices of Peletico in Nicosia

Remuneration

An attractive remuneration package including a fixed gross annual salary between €70K – €80K will be offered to the successful candidate based on qualifications and experience.  Additional benefits include provident fund, fuel allowance, subsidy of professional subscriptions and other.
