CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established professional services firm, offering clients a comprehensive range of services including Accounting, Audit, and Tax, we are seeking to recruit a Client Accountant to join their growing teams based in either Paphos or Limassol. As a Client Accountant, you will handle a range of accounting and bookkeeping duties on behalf of a portfolio of both local and international clients. As part of your role, you will handle VAT and VIES reporting, prepare payroll and social insurance payments, prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS, and more! Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in a relevant field, who are ideally either part or fully qualified members of a recognised accounting body. You will need to hold approximately 5+ years of relevant professional experience, and be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, which includes a 13th salary, and working hours are from 08:00 – 16:00 from Monday to Thursday, and 08:00 – 15:30 each Friday, with some flexibility.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:  

• Performance of bookkeeping/accounting records for local and international clients.
• Preparation of VAT and VIES reporting.
• Preparation of payroll and social insurance payments.
• Correspondence and communication with clients.
• Tax compliance procedures for individuals and companies.
• Participation in other accounting/tax related duties.
• Preparation and audit of financial statements, in accordance with IFRS.
• Any other duties relevant to the daily operation of the department.

 

Key Skills/Experience:  

• Educated to degree level in a relevant field of study.
• Ideally Part or Fully Qualified ACCA/ACA member.
• Approximately 5+ years of relevant experience in an accounting department, and/or in the audit field.
• Excellent knowledge of English and Greek, both verbal and written.
• Very good knowledge of accounting software.
• Knowledge of Caseware software is considered as an advantage.
• Able to work independently or as a part of a team.
• Willing to learn and develop his/her skills further.
