We are partnering with a well-established company based in Limassol, and are currently seeking a Commercial Legal Counsel to join their team.

Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to provide day-to-day legal support across a range of commercial and corporate matters. The role involves negotiating commercial agreements, advising on intellectual property and licensing matters, liaising with external legal advisors, contributing to internal policies and procedures, and supporting the Group’s mergers and acquisitions activities.

Responsibiltiies

• Provide day-to-day legal advice to the Group on various matters, including labour law, partnerships, international ventures and corporate finance.
• Deliver accurate and timely legal guidance to executives on a broad range of commercial matters.
• Lead negotiations of various commercial agreements, including game supplier agreements, payment service provider agreements, licensing agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and marketing agreements.
• Advise on intellectual property (IP) and licensing matters.
• Liaise with external legal counsel on jurisdiction-specific matters, including litigation, enforcement and licence applications.
• Contribute to the training and development of the legal team and other business stakeholders.
• Assist in drafting and implementing the Group’s policies and procedures.
• Support the Group’s mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities in collaboration with the management team.

Requirements

• Law degree (LLB); an LLM will be considered an advantage.
• A degree from a UK university is preferred.
• Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Ideally, at least four years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven experience working as an in-house Legal Counsel.
• Experience in regulated industries will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures.
• Fluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Experience in the iGaming industry and licensing matters
• Exposure with EU & non-EU jurisdictions, reviewed and drafted Commercial agreements, being tech-savvy is a plus
