Job Title: Cook A

Department: Food & Beverage – Kitchen

Job Profile:

Ararat – The Signature Collection is seeking a skilled and passionate Cook A to join our dynamic culinary team. As a key member of our five-star kitchen, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality dishes that reflect our commitment to luxury, consistency, and excellence. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated culinary professional to grow within a prestigious hospitality environment.

Job Description:

·        Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards

·        Ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery of all food items

·        Maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in assigned kitchen areas

·        Monitor stock levels and ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients

·        Assist in menu preparation and development, including seasonal offerings

·        Support and guide junior kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations

·        Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

·        Collaborate with the Executive Chef and senior kitchen team on menu improvements

·        Maintain high standards of food presentation and portion control

Person Specification:

·        Proven experience as a Cook A or in a similar senior kitchen role within a hotel or high-end restaurant

·        Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and food preparation methods

·        Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

·        Strong teamwork and communication skills

·        Ability to support and guide junior team members

·        High attention to detail and commitment to quality

·        Passion for culinary excellence and continuous improvement

Work Environment:
