Cook B is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food according to the establishment’s standards. The role supports senior kitchen staff in daily food production, maintains cleanliness and hygiene, and ensures that dishes are prepared on time and to quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, cutting, portioning, and storing food.
Cook and present dishes according to recipes, menus, and portion standards.
Assist senior cooks and chefs during service and food preparation.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
Check food quality, freshness, and proper storage conditions.
Help with stock rotation and inform supervisors of low inventory.
Ensure food is served on time and at the correct temperature.
Support other kitchen sections when required.
Requirements
Previous kitchen or cooking experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
Understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.
Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for long periods and handle kitchen equipment safely.
Applicants must have the legal right to work. Visa sponsorship is not provided.
