Counsel – Corporate Department

Georgiades & Pelides LLC is a leading Nicosia-based law firm with an internationally recognized corporate department, advising a diverse clientele on high profile domestic and international transactions. We are seeking a high-calibre individual to join our Corporate Department as Counsel.

The Role

The successful candidate will lead matters independently and be expected to work collaboratively within the corporate team with both partners and juniors. Key duties include:

• Drafting a wide range of transaction documentation of varying degrees of complexity.
• General transaction management and client care (client updates, billing, relationship management and similar).
• Preparing legal memoranda and opinions.
• Overseeing and coordinating advice provided by more junior members of the team.
• Providing day-to-day corporate advice to clients.

The Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years' post-qualification experience in a similar position.
• Fluency in Greek and English and proficiency in legal drafting in English.
• Ability to lead M&A transactions of significant complexity without constant oversight.
• Excellent transaction management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and be self-motivated, with a proactive approach, as well as the ability to manage multiple workstreams and multiple projects.  
• Experience with court-related corporate applications (e.g. schemes of arrangement, capital reductions) will be considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in the use of AI tools will be considered an advantage.

We offer an attractive remuneration package, depending on qualifications and experience, plus a 13th salary.
