CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Consulting Firm, formed to inform and support both individuals and enterprises in relation to the exploitation of European and National Funds, we are seeking to recruit a Development & Partnerships Officer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Development & Partnerships Officer, you will support the strategic, operational, and networking activities of the department, contributing to the organisation’s growth through the identification, development and submission of high-quality project proposals and tenders under EU, national and international funding programmes. Our client is seeking applicants with a minimum of 2+ years of experience with EU projects, proposal development, tenders, business development, partnerships, or related areas, with an understanding of European funding programmes, project development processes, and/or public procurement procedures. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of the department’s strategy, objectives, and growth plans.
- Contribute to the identification and assessment of funding opportunities aligned with organisational priorities.
- Assist in maintaining and monitoring the department’s funding pipeline and opportunity tracking systems.
- Support the development and maintenance of strategic partnerships and cooperation networks.
- Contribute to departmental planning, monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement processes.
- Provide support during strategic meetings, consultations, and partnership discussions.
- Monitor EU, international, national, and regional funding opportunities, procurement portals and calls for proposals.
- Support the full proposal and tender development cycle, including research, partner communication, drafting, data collection, budgeting support, quality review, and submission processes.
- Contribute to proposal writing, concept development, needs analysis, desk research and supporting documentation.
- Liaise with internal departments and external partners to ensure timely collection of required inputs and information.
- Support the preparation of competitive budgets in cooperation with the Head of Department and relevant colleagues.
- Represent the organisation at information days, networking events, conferences, workshops, brokerage events, and partner meetings.
- Support the identification, engagement and management of strategic partners, experts, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to stakeholder mapping and partnership development activities.
- Support the coordination of proposal preparation timelines, deadlines, and internal workflows.
- Follow up with partners and colleagues regarding pending inputs, documentation, and deliverables.
- Organise and maintain proposal-related records, databases, contact lists and knowledge management systems.
Key Skills/Experience:
- University degree in European Studies, International Relations, Business Administration, Political Sciences, Economics, Project Management, Public Policy, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant professional experience in EU projects, proposal development, tenders, business development, partnerships, or related areas.
- Understanding of European funding programmes, project development processes and/or public procurement procedures.
- Experience in coordinating tasks and working with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong teamwork and collaboration.
- Excellent IT literacy, including MS Office and online collaboration tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience in proposal writing or project development.
- Experience in consultancy, NGO, educational, research, or international cooperation environments.
- Familiarity with EU funding programmes such as Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, Interreg, CERV, AMIF, Digital Europe, or similar initiatives.
- Experience in partnership development and international networking.
- Additional EU language(s) will be considered an advantage.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
