Project Manager – Visit Nicosia – Department of European Projects
The VisitNicosia organisation is seeking a highly organised, proactive, and results-driven professional to join its European Project Department as a Project Manager. The organisation plays a central institutional role in sustainable tourism development, and manages a rapidly growing portfolio of European-funded projects and international collaborations.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the coordination and implementation of European-funded projects, with a focus on:
- Cultural heritage digitalisation
- Cultural Creative tourism
- Sustainable urban development
- Rural development
- adoption of climate change
- entrepreneurship innovation in the tourism sector
- Sustainable tourism development
Responsibilities
The Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Coordinating and implementing European-funded projects (monitoring timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements)
- Conducting research and preparing comprehensive reports, presentations, project materials and proposal writing initiatives
- Supporting the organisation of meetings, conferences, workshops, focus groups and events
- Participating in local and international meetings, workshops, and conferences
- Conceptualisation of project ideas, identification of funding opportunities, and contribution to proposal writing and submission processes
- Ability to engage and coordinate stakeholders while fostering active and creative participation throughout project implementation
- Participation in international forums, networking events, project presentation activities, and knowledge exchange initiatives at European level
(Please note: This role requires extensive travelling.)
We’re looking for qualified professionals who are:
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Adaptable to digital/AI tools and technologies
- Knowledgeable about European policies in Tourism, culture, innovation, and sustainability
- Commitment to continuous professional development and ongoing monitoring of European policies, strategies, and funding priorities
Required Qualifications
- University degree in one of the fields of European Studies / Humanities/Social Sciences / Tourism & Hospitality Studies / Business Management / or another relevant field
- Proven experience in research (desk research, surveys, focus groups and research reports)
- Proven experience in EU programmes management
- Excellent written and spoken English
