Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical, commercially minded, and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our growing team. This role goes beyond traditional accounting and financial reporting. The successful candidate will act as a strategic business partner, helping management make informed decisions through accurate financial analysis, forecasting, cash flow management, and project performance monitoring.
As a property development company, we are looking for someone who understands the importance of balancing financial discipline with business growth and who can confidently support the leadership team in driving profitability, managing risk, and scaling operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reports, and performance dashboards.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning across multiple projects and entities.
- Monitor project profitability, development costs, sales performance, and financial KPIs.
- Support strategic decision-making through financial modelling, scenario analysis, and investment evaluations.
- Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury management, and financial controls.
- Develop and improve financial processes, reporting systems, and internal controls to support business growth.
- Monitor financing facilities, banking relationships, and project funding requirements.
- Support the preparation of investor reports, shareholder updates, and financial presentations.
- Collaborate closely with Development, Sales, Construction, and Operations teams to ensure financial visibility across the business.
- Assist management in evaluating land acquisitions, project feasibility studies, and development opportunities.
- Mentor and support junior finance team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant finance experience, preferably within real estate, construction, development, investment, or project-based environments.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
- Experience preparing management accounts and presenting financial insights to senior leadership.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, taxation, and audit processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in property development, construction, or real estate investment.
- Understanding of development appraisals, project feasibility analysis, and project accounting.
- Experience working with multiple entities, SPVs, and investor reporting structures.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, accounting software, and business intelligence tools.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate financial information into actionable business insights.
- Experience supporting financing negotiations and banking relationships.
- High attention to detail with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
