Manpower Cyprus, on behalf of our client, a highly successful and dynamic organization based in Limassol, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Financial Controller to lead their accounting and finance operations.

 

As the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the financial health of the Group. You will supervise the daily accounting operations, drive financial planning, and work closely with senior management to support the company’s strategic, investment, and operational goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily Operations & Reporting: Oversee daily accounting tasks, ensuring the accurate recording of all financial transactions, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Financial Closings: Manage the monthly and quarterly closing processes for the Group’s companies, guaranteeing the timely and accurate submission of financial reports.
• Analysis & Strategy: Prepare substantial financial analyses and reports, tracking profit margins, cost per project, segmented revenues, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead financial planning and control. Prepare and monitor annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash flow projections to support the company's long-term objectives.
• Compliance & Risk: Ensure strict adherence to tax, legal, and regulatory obligations while maintaining robust internal control systems.
• Treasury Management: Manage cash flows and bank relationships to optimize liquidity, working capital, and overall treasury operations.
• Team Leadership: Guide, train, and develop the finance team to foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
• Advisory: Collaborate with executive management by providing reliable financial data and analysis to inform business planning and investment decisions.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized university.
• Professional accounting certification (ACCA or ACA).
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting or financial audit roles.
• Previous experience as a Financial Controller will be considered a strong additional asset.
• Excellent knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), tax compliance, and financial ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Easysoft, or similar).
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management and key stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and strong analytical skills.
• Fluency in both Greek and English (excellent written and verbal communication skills).
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• Dynamic personality with a team-oriented mindset and a continuous-improvement approach.
