We are now recruiting for a Financial Controller to join our dynamic Finance team.

Position Summary

The Financial Controller owns day-to-day transaction processing while also driving reconciliation oversight, statutory reporting, and payroll execution within a technology-driven, project-based business environment. This is a hands-on senior individual-contributor role — combining strong execution with BI-driven reporting and analytical rigor. The role works closely with the Managing Director to ensure timely, accurate financial data, reporting, and payroll delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Own invoicing and billing across all revenue streams, including subscriptions, licences, cloud services, and project-based contracts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and approved supporting documentation.
• Monitor cash flow, receivables, and payables; execute payment plans; support the collection of overdue balances; and coordinate supplier payment schedules.
• Execute payroll accurately and on time, including statutory deductions, payroll reconciliations, and employee reimbursements, ensuring all activities are completed within the fixed monthly calendar and statutory deadlines.
• Track project costs, budgets, service-agreement consumption, and project billing to support accurate revenue recognition and effective cost control.
• Oversee customer, supplier, bank, and general ledger reconciliations, working closely with the Financial Controller and functional leads to resolve discrepancies and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Support tax, VAT, statutory reporting, and audit requirements, ensuring timely filings and consistent internal controls.
• Prepare management reports and dashboards using BI and reporting tools, and support month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including accruals, deferrals, and prepayments.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with data-protection and information-security policies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Professional certification (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) is required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in a similar role.
• Experience in technology, engineering, construction, or other project-based industries is preferred.
• Hands-on payroll execution experience is required.
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience using reporting and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
• Working knowledge of taxation, VAT, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Proficiency with SAP ERP or similar systems, and advanced MS Excel skills.
