The group: The group operates in shipping industry for over 2 decades and today runs from several offices globally. The wider team consists of very diversified environment with 10 different nationalities across 6 offices.
Role: Bookkeeper
Join daily accounting execution of group of companies operating in the shipping / maritime industry
Key responsibilities
Working in a small team of accountants (5 people) assisting directly to accounts manager
Daily tasks may include assisting with routine simple activities such as : invoicing, posting in software, online payments and general bookkeeping.
Prepare documents and materials for audit
Monitor payments from clients and payment schedule to suppliers. Credit line utilisations, repayment schedules.
Assist in preparation of transaction documents and documentation for obtaining bank financing
Assist in closing the books by helping with reconciliations of general ledger accounts and preparing reports.
This role assumes that the candidate will grow in the team, gain further responsibility with time
The candidate
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Past experience in a shipping company is a benefit (but not required)
At least 4 years experience as bookkeeper or similar
