JOB PURPOSE

The Group IT Manager is responsible for the reliable, secure and efficient operation of the Company’s technology infrastructure, systems and information resources. The role ensures that IT solutions effectively support business operations, service excellence and the Hotel’s strategic objectives. It oversees system security, hardware, networks, applications, IT assets, backups and technology projects in accordance with established standards and policies.

The IT Manager proactively identifies technology needs and opportunities, implementing solutions that improve operational efficiency, productivity and profitability. The role also manages IT vendors and coordinates with Group and external support teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and continuous improvement of IT services.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and maintain the Hotel’s IT infrastructure, systems, networks, hardware and applications, ensuring reliable, secure and uninterrupted operation.

• Ensure IT security, data protection, backups and system recovery processes are effectively implemented and maintained in accordance with company policies and applicable standards.

• Lead and coordinate IT projects and technology initiatives, from needs assessment and planning through implementation, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and budget.

• Provide effective technical support and guidance to users, proactively identifying issues, communicating system updates and ensuring timely resolution of technology-related problems.

• Manage IT assets, software licensing, vendors and external support providers, ensuring cost-effective solutions, regulatory compliance and alignment with Group and Hotel requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, with relevant professional certifications considered an advantage.

• Proven experience in an IT management or senior IT role, preferably within the hotel, hospitality or service industry.

• Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, hardware, software, cybersecurity, backups and information systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

• Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple projects and align technology solutions with business needs.

• Excellent communication, leadership and vendor-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, employees, Group IT/Shared Services and external partners.
