Our client is seeking for a passionate, talented, and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering an authentic, high-quality Greek dining experience based in Malta.
Duties and Responsibilities are but not limited to:
Design, implement, and execute an authentic Greek menu, incorporating traditional techniques, regional specialties, and modern presentations.
Oversee daily back-of-house (BOH) operations, ensuring consistency, exceptional food quality, and efficient service timelines.
Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule kitchen staff. Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing kitchen culture.
Manage food costs, supplier relationships, inventory rotation, and portion control to maximize profitability without compromising quality.
Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness. Ensure strict adherence to Maltese food safety regulations (HACCP) and occupational health and safety standards.
Requirements:
Formal culinary arts degree or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Greek or Maltese is considered a strong asset.
Fully conversant with HACCP regulations and food costing software.
Must already hold the right to work in Malta or meet the criteria for a Single Permit application.
Education & Experience:
Experience in cooking and working with Greek cuisine
