Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
• Monitor daily revenue reporting and reconciliation (POS systems, cash, card payments, online platforms)
• Prepare and review annual financial statements
• Handle payroll accounting
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international accounting standards and regulations
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings (VAT, corporate tax, etc.)
• Develop and enforce internal controls to prevent fraud, theft, and revenue leakage
• Provide financial insights to management to improve operational efficiency and margins

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is considered an advantage
• 7-10+ years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP)
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Greek and English language is a must

• Full-time position
• Office-based
