This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys being at the heart of the operation — leading by example, working alongside the team, interacting with guests, and ensuring every service runs smoothly from start to finish. As Head Waiter, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our Restaurant and Events, working closely with the Restaurant Manager and wider team to deliver consistently high standards of service across breakfast, lunch, dinner, weddings, christenings, private functions, and special events.
The Role
We are looking for someone who is hands-on, operationally focused, and confident leading a team. You will be actively involved in service, not just supervising from the sidelines.
You will lead by example, support your colleagues during busy periods, anticipate guest needs, and ensure that our guests receive warm, professional, and attentive service at every stage of their experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Restaurant Manager with the daily operation of the Restaurant, Bar, and Events.
• Take an active, hands-on role during service and lead the team by example.
• Supervise and support the restaurant team to ensure smooth, efficient, and professional service.
• Welcome and interact with guests, ensuring their needs are anticipated and met to a high standard.
• Serve guests across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events, including weddings, christenings, parties, and private functions.
• Coordinate the front-of-house team during busy services and events.
• Ensure tables, restaurant areas, and service stations are properly prepared before each service.
• Assist with the preparation and closing of the Restaurant and Bar.
• Maintain high standards of service, presentation, cleanliness, and professionalism throughout the operation.
• Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure effective communication and smooth service.
• Assist with the coordination and execution of weddings, christenings, parties, and other events.
• Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints professionally and efficiently, ensuring appropriate solutions are provided.
• Support the training and development of team members and encourage a positive team environment.
• Ensure that company service standards, policies, and procedures are consistently followed.
• Remain calm, organized, and professional during busy periods and unexpected situations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as reasonably assigned by management.
Requirements & Experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or senior front-of-house role within the hospitality industry.
• Previous experience as a Head Waiter, Supervisor, or similar position is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in restaurant and event service.
• Experience and confidence working in a Bar.
• Excellent knowledge of both Greek and English, spoken and written.
• A valid driving licence.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Pleasant, confident, and professional personality.
• Ability to remain calm and effective while working under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Passion for hospitality, food, drinks, and events.
• A proactive, flexible, and hands-on approach to work.
• Strong operational awareness and the ability to take initiative.
• Genuine commitment to creating an outstanding guest experience.
