This role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, overseeing workplace safety practices, and supporting the organization in maintaining a safe and compliant working environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety standards and a commitment to promoting best practices.

 

The Opportunity:

• Monitor and oversee all health and safety aspects related to employees, contractors, and visitors, ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.

• Ensure adherence to Health & Safety Plans, procedures, risk registers, mitigation plans, and audit requirements.

• Prepare and review risk assessments and task-specific method statements where required.

• Conduct regular inspections of the workplace and operations to identify hazards, risks, and non-conformities.

• Implement and enforce preventative and corrective measures.

• Review and update health and safety policies and procedures in line with legislative and organizational changes.

• Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near-misses, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are taken.

• Deliver health and safety training and awareness sessions to people as needed.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety compliance.

 

The Requirements:

• University degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of proven experience in a Health & Safety role.

• Additional Health & Safety certifications/qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) will be considered an advantage.

• Good written and spoken communication skills in English and Greek.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages (written and spoken).

• High level of attention to detail and commitment to compliance.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emerging safety issues.

• Proactive, responsible, and able to take initiative in identifying and mitigating risks.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

• Team-oriented with the confidence to guide and support employees and contractors on health and safety matters.
