Position: Hotel Waiter / Waitress

Department: Food & Beverage

Reports To: Restaurant & Bar Manager

Summary of Position: The Hotel Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing high-quality food and beverage service to guests in the hotel’s restaurant, bar, or banquet area. The role involves greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Greet and seat guests promptly in a friendly and professional manner.
• Present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently and according to hotel standards.
• Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle any complaints professionally.
• Clear and reset tables quickly between guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area and service stations.
• Process guest bills, handle cash or card payments accurately.
• Assist with room service orders and banquet events when required.
• Adhere to all hotel policies, safety procedures, and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and housekeeping teams to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent (hospitality training preferred).
• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a hotel or restaurant is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and positive attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
• Neat and professional appearance.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
