At Eni, we are looking for an HSE Advisor within Eni Cyprus Limited in Nicosia. You will be responsible for ensuring the execution of HSE programmes and plans for the implementation of the Company's Management Systems, advising on and providing updates regarding all matters related to HSE, and supporting the coordination of all HSE activities.

Main responsibilities
- Provide support and advice on environmental, health and safety laws and regulatory requirements to ensure HSE activities are aligned with local and international standards.
- Conduct periodic HSE audits and inspections, review formal incident and accident investigations, and prepare supporting documentation.
- Advise on HSE plan requirements and training programmes, and assist in the preparation of cost estimates relating to HSE aspects of projects.
- Ensure that contractors' HSE activities comply with Company policies and procedures by liaising with the Project HSE Team and conducting site visits.
- Ensure that HSE rules, supporting procedures and work instructions are implemented effectively and followed on a day-to-day basis.
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with staff and technical departments regarding HSE matters.
- Prepare all HSE reports requested by Eni Headquarters and maintain accurate records within the HSE database.
- Analyse HSE performance and regulatory permit parameters, and provide professional recommendations for continuous improvement to achieve HSE goals and objectives.
- Capture lessons learned from incidents, accidents and near misses, and propose corrective and preventive measures across the organisation.
- Act as the point of contact with governmental regulatory agencies on HSE matters and submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.
- Ensure that contractors comply with the timely submission of data required for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual HSE statistics, and provide relevant guidance where necessary.
- Maintain emergency preparedness and response capabilities through procedures tailored to the Company's organisation and activities, in compliance with Company policies and standards.
- Support liaison with relevant government bodies, partners and other oil and gas companies to promote strong health, safety and environmental policies and maintain a high level of focus on HSE matters.
Support the preparation and management of the project budget.
Skills and experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in HSE operations within the oil and gas industry.
- Knowledge of local and international codes and regulations relating to HSE requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer applications.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to produce effective reports.
- Ability to work in a team environment, communicate effectively, and operate within a multi-functional and multi-location organisation.
- Ability to lead and coach both international and national staff.
- Capacity to integrate successfully within an international and multicultural workforce.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and the ability to educate and influence personnel to comply with safety requirements.
- Strong supervisory, organisational and planning skills.
- Team-oriented with a high level of self-motivation.
