IT Manager – Nicosia

Airtrans Group is an established group of companies in Cyprus, with over 120 employees and more than 40 years of experience in air and sea freight, logistics, courier services, cargo and passenger handling, travel and management services.

We are seeking an IT Manager based in Nicosia to take responsibility for the Group’s IT infrastructure and daily IT operations. The role includes systems and network administration, coordination with external service providers and direct technical support to employees across our locations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Group’s IT systems, servers and networks to support reliable and secure operations.
• Implement and maintain IT security and data privacy measures, including the correct administration of user accounts, access rights and permissions.
• Manage data backups and carry out regular recovery tests.
• Set up workstations and install, configure, maintain and repair computer hardware, software and peripheral devices.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot problems and guide employees in the use of IT systems and equipment.
• Plan and coordinate system upgrades and maintenance to minimise disruption to business operations.
• Monitor and maintain telecommunications systems.
• Coordinate with external IT and telecommunications providers to resolve issues and maintain service quality.
• Maintain accurate IT asset records and monitor software licences and maintenance agreements.
• Identify equipment requirements and coordinate purchases with suppliers.
• Recommend improvements to hardware, systems and working practices to enhance performance and cost efficiency.
• Monitor IT expenditure and prepare relevant reports for management.

Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• At least five years of relevant experience in IT support, systems administration or a related IT role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to organise work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English.
• Excellent understanding of network security and data privacy principles.
• Ability to provide IT support at the Group’s different locations.
• Availability to work outside normal working hours when required.

Technical Knowledge & Experience

• Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy and domain controllers.
• Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID administration.
• Network administration, including switches, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and SD-WAN.
• Linux server administration.
• Veeam backup software.
• Synology NAS systems.
• UniFi systems.
• Network printers and copiers.
• CCTV systems.

Relevant IT certifications and knowledge of Sophos firewalls will be considered an advantage.

Remuneration

The successful candidate will receive a remuneration package based on qualifications and experience.
