Betathlon Ltd is a Cypriot company which, through the brand name CYBET, operates in the area of sports betting in Cyprus. Betathlon Ltd possesses betting acceptance license Class A’ & B’ by the Cypriot Betting Authority (www.nba.com.cy).

We are seeking a IT Officer for full-time employment, to join our team at our Head offices in Nicosia.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

●    Provides direct technical support for the implementation, installation and maintenance of software systems, and for resolving technical equipment problems (e.g. computers, printers, copiers, on-site and off-site, etc.).
●    Visits the various shops in the network and provides technical support.
●    Checks the correct and smooth operation of computers, printers, and other equipment of the company and the shops.
●    Identifies issues, root causes of problems, and equipment needs, and provides or proposes the best available solutions to address them promptly, ensuring the smooth operation of electronic systems and equipment.
●    Sets up and keeps computer systems and networks up to date.
●    Ensures the security and protection of networks and software systems.
●    Provides guidance to users on how to operate existing or new software and/or computer equipment.
●    Upgrades and proactively maintains software systems and identifies shortages of computer or network equipment for the purposes of ordering and remediation.
●    Carries out diagnosis and resolution of problems (e.g. repair or replacement of parts, fault detection, etc.).
●    Handles requests from colleagues and shops in a courteous and professional manner and provides direct technical support with a view to timely resolution of the technical problems or issues they face.
●    Communicates and collaborates with external suppliers for the resolution of technical issues or the addition of new services, when required.
●    Carries out any other related duties and procedures assigned by the IT Manager.
 

Key Skills/Requirements:

●    Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another related field.
●    A postgraduate degree in a related field will be considered an additional asset.
●    Holding an IT Technician certification will be considered an advantage.
●    Two (2) years of proven experience in a similar position.
●    Very good knowledge of the Greek and English languages.
●    Excellent computer skills (Windows OS, MS Office) and knowledge of hardware and software configuration settings.
●    Excellent problem diagnosis and resolution skills.
●    In-depth understanding of various computer systems and networks.
●    Good knowledge of internet security and data protection principles.
●    Very good communication skills.
●    Customer-centric approach.
●    High level of responsibility.
●    Attention to detail.
●   Organisational skills and effective time management.
 

Important Information:
●    Working Hours: Full Time, 09:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
●    Salary Information: Subject to experience

●    Office Location: Makedonitissa, Nicosia
