American Medical Center / American Heart Institute a leading private hospital in Cyprus, is seeking an experienced and motivated IT Officer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day support and maintenance of the hospital's IT infrastructure, end-user systems, and medical applications, ensuring reliable, secure, and uninterrupted operations across all departments. This is a hands-on role ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Onboard new users across Active Directory, Microsoft 365, business applications, and specialised medical applications, ensuring correct access rights and group memberships.
2. Offboard departing users in a timely and secure manner, including account disabling, licence reclamation, and access revocation.
3. Provide first-line and second-line end-user support for daily IT issues, responding promptly to requests and troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
4. Monitor and verify daily backups, ensuring data integrity and escalating any failures or anomalies.
5. Install, configure, and commission new equipment, including end-user workstations, printers, and IoT / medical systems and devices.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve daily technical problems, escalating complex issues to IT Manager or vendors where required.
7. Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, user accounts, and support activity.
8. Support basic network operations and assist in maintaining network connectivity and performance across the hospital.
9. Liaise with clinical and administrative staff to understand and address their IT needs in a professional and service-oriented manner.
Required Qualifications & Experience
1. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in an IT support or IT officer role, ideally within a healthcare, corporate, or similarly demanding environment.
2. Basic networking knowledge with a good understanding of network terminologies (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, switches firewalls).
3. Solid experience administering Active Directory and Microsoft 365 (user and licence management, mailboxes, security groups).
4. Experience supporting business including user onboarding and troubleshooting.
5. Hands-on experience installing and configuring workstations, printers, and connected devices.
6. Familiarity with backup monitoring and basic data protection practices.
7. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a methodical, detail-oriented approach.

3. Well-organised, reliable, and able to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
4. Discretion and respect for confidentiality, in line with healthcare data protection requirements.
5. Fluency in Greek and English (written and spoken).
Desirable (Advantageous)
1. Relevant IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+/Network+, Microsoft 365, ITIL Foundation).
2. Experience working with hospital information systems or medical IoT devices.
3. Awareness of cybersecurity best practices and data protection / GDPR compliance.
4. Experience with Medical applications/platforms.
