Philippou Law Firm is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual at the early stages of their career to gain hands-on experience within a fast-growing, dynamic, and client-focused law firm with a strong international practice.
 

Overall Purpose of the Role

The Junior Accountant will support the Accounting Department in day-to-day financial operations. The role involves assisting with bookkeeping tasks, preparing invoices, maintaining financial records, and supporting VAT and tax return processes under supervision. This position is ideal for someone looking to develop their expertise in accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records
• Support the preparation and submission of VAT and tax returns
• Prepare and issue invoices, and help maintain statements of account
• Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions
• Assist in organizing financial documents and records
• Support senior accountants with client accounts and reporting tasks
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and relevant regulations

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently studying)
• Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles and VAT regulations
• Some practical experience (internship or entry-level role) is an advantage but not essential
• Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
• Fluency in Greek and English is highly desirable
