The role:

We are looking for a motivated and energetic graduate to join our Core Networks Team. In this role, you will support the design, dimensioning, planning and delivery of our Core Network infrastructure. Furthermore, you will assist in preparing performance and cost optimization reports to provide the appropriate Core Networks solutions according to the epic overall strategic targets and the guidelines given by Core Networks Planning Manager.

Your Responsibilities:

As part of your learning and development journey, you’ll be involved in:

• Planning, designing, and configuring Core Network elements (hardware and software)
• Designing internal and external network connections (e.g., IMS, MSS, MGW, MME, SGSN, S/P-GW, GGSN, MGCF, BSC, RNC)
• Implementing new features and configuration changes
• Analyzing the overall network impact of proposed configuration changes
• Preparing customer service solutions within Core Networks and generating performance and optimization reports
• Testing and validating new network elements
• Collaborating with vendors to support software and hardware upgrades
• Troubleshooting customer complaints reported by Customer Care agents in a timely manner
• Documenting network configurations and maintaining an updated library with the configurations of the network
• Researching new technologies and proposing improvements to Core Networks
• Monitoring the performance and health of Core Network systems and resolving arising issues
• Participating in the on-call support scheme for critical incidents (after sufficient onboarding)

Your Profile:

We’re looking for graduates who are passionate about technology, eager to learn, and excited to start their career in telecom:

•           Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Science

•           Postgraduate studies or specialization in Networks/Telecoms will be considered an advantage

•           Up to 1 year of related experience is considered an advantage

•           Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

•           A team player with clear and effective communication skills

•           Knowledge of mobile and fixed/DSL network concepts

•           Knowledge of signalling systems, e.g. SS7, SIGTRAN, DIAMETER will be considered an advantage

•           Knowledge of signalling protocols, e.g. SIP, MAP, ISUP will be considered an advantage

•           Knowledge of Unix or Linux will be considered as an advantage

•           Fluency in English
