CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, one of Cyprus’ leading transportation companies with operations across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Data Engineer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Junior Data Engineer, you will collect, mange, and convert raw data from various departments to aid business decisions and efficiencies. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Computer Science, or another closely related field, who ideally hold some experience building or maintaining ETL processes, SQL, database architecture, Python, and familiarity with data visualization tools. Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Collecting, managing, and converting raw data from all company departments.
• Collecting data from different sources, creating, and maintaining data architectures aligned with business requirements.
• Developing data models and pipelines for research and reporting.
• Keeping the data accessible and updated while maintaining data quality.
• Automating tasks where manual participation can be eliminated.
• Identifying bugs or performance issues.
• Designing and maintaining of final dashboards for specific users in Tableau/Metabase.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related discipline.
• Experience in a similar position will be considered as an advantage.
• Experience in building or maintaining ETL processes, SQL, database architecture, Python, and familiarity with data visualization tools is desirable.
• Experience with Pentaho Data Integration will be considered a plus.
• Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
