About the Role

The role is designed for an ambitious junior legal professional who wants to go beyond routine legal administration and develop strong practical commercial experience.

You will help build and maintain the company's day-to-day legal infrastructure, prepare and review commercial documentation, support negotiations and coordinate with external legal and specialist advisers when required.

You will report directly to the founders, with one founder acting as your day-to-day legal sponsor.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and review NDAs, supplier agreements, software and service agreements, contractor agreements, licenses, marketing terms and other commercial documents.

·        Liaising with regulators and relevant authorities across European jurisdictions, conducting legal and regulatory database research, and preparing clear and commercially appropriate disclaimers and other legal documentation.

·        Analyze legal and commercial practices, as well as real-world legal and economic cases, and translate the findings into practical recommendations for the business.

• Support negotiations with manufacturers, tooling suppliers, software vendors, logistics providers, designers, contractors and other commercial partners.
• Support manufacturing, tooling, quality assurance and logistics agreements, including provisions relating to intellectual property, specifications, defects, audit, recalls, termination and transition.
• Maintain intellectual property and chain-of-title records and coordinate with external patent, trade mark and design counsel.
• Support matters relating to software, developer and contractor assignments, open-source software and trade-secret protection.
• Assist with website and app terms, privacy and cookie documentation, subscriptions, designer licensing, royalties, content rules, complaints and payment-related documentation.
• Support product compliance matters, including safety, materials, labelling, product claims, returns, insurance, incidents and recalls.
• Maintain corporate legal records, contract registers, renewal dates and other legal documentation.
• Conduct legal research and convert findings into clear, practical recommendations, actions and deadlines.
• Prepare concise legal and commercial notes for the founders.
• Coordinate instructions and follow-up with external UK, EU and specialist advisers.

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Law or equivalent professional legal education.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to draft clear and precise legal and commercial documents independently.
• Strong analytical and legal research skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and document management skills.
• A practical and commercially minded approach to legal issues.
• Ability to understand and prioritise the issues that have the greatest impact on the business.
• Interest in or ability to work with technical subject matter, software, AI, manufacturing and emerging business models.
• Strong sense of ownership, reliability and willingness to work directly with founders in a hands-on environment.
• Good judgement regarding when to seek specialist legal advice or escalate higher-risk matters.
• Existing unrestricted right to work in Cyprus.
• Ability to travel periodically within the UK and Europe.

Advantageous

• LLB or LLM completed in the UK, Ireland or another English-speaking country, or a law degree substantially taught in English.
• 1-3 years of experience in commercial contracts, technology, intellectual property, corporate services, in-house legal work or a relevant law-firm team.
• Russian language skills.
• Experience or exposure to SaaS, e-commerce, marketplaces, consumer products, manufacturing, data protection or startup environments.
• SQE studies, Cyprus Bar membership, another EU legal qualification, or an interest in future qualification in England and Wales.
• Experience using AI or legal-tech tools responsibly, with the ability to independently verify outputs and sources.
