The Role
We are looking for a motivated and technically capable individual to join our Maintenance team as a Junior Maintenance Technician. Working under the guidance of our senior maintenance staff, you will play a hands-on role in ensuring that all building systems, infrastructure, and facilities across LABS Tower are operating safely, efficiently, and to the high standards our members expect. This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Nicosia headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
● Assist in the day-to-day maintenance, inspection, and servicing of the building's plumbing systems, including pipework, fixtures, drainage, and water supply infrastructure.
● Support the maintenance and routine servicing of HVAC systems across the building, ensuring optimal climate control and air quality for all occupants.
● Carry out basic electrical maintenance tasks under the supervision of qualified senior technicians, including lighting, and general building electrical systems.
● Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and reported faults, diagnosing issues and carrying out repairs in a timely and professional manner.
● Assist in the coordination and supervision of specialist external contractors where required, ensuring works are carried out to specification and within agreed timeframes.
● Conduct regular preventative maintenance checks and contribute to the building's planned maintenance schedule.
● Accurately log all maintenance activities, works carried out, and parts used in accordance with the team's reporting procedures.
● Ensure all works are carried out in full compliance with health and safety regulations and building management standards.
● Collaborate closely with the Maintenance and Community Management team and other departments to minimise disruption to members during maintenance works.
What We're Looking For
● A relevant technical qualification or vocational certification in plumbing, HVAC, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
● Demonstrable hands-on experience with plumbing systems and HVAC installations, servicing, or repairs.
● A foundational understanding of electrical systems and basic electrical maintenance practices.
● A proactive, problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
● The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a close-knit technical team.
● Good communication skills in Greek and/or English, with the ability to liaise professionally with colleagues, management, and contractors.
● Willingness to occasionally work outside of standard hours to support emergency maintenance needs or scheduled out-of-hours works.
● A valid driver's license is a requirement.
● Full-time Monday – Friday 0800- 1700
● Salary - €1600 - €1800 (depending on experience) gross per month plus performance based bonus and lunch contribution per month.
