Role Objective:

MKS Audit & Consulting Ltd is recruiting on behalf of one of their clients, a newly established Electronic Money Institution (EMI), for a motivated Junior Network & Systems Engineer who is eager to grow, learn, and contribute to the design, implementation, and support of modern network and infrastructure solutions.

The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and enjoys solving technical challenges, This role offers hands-on experience with networking, systems administration, security, and cloud technologies while providing opportunities for continuous learning and professional development within the fast-evolving fintech sector. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

·       Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure, servers, and IT systems.

·       Monitor network and system performance to ensure high availability, security, and reliability.

·       Provide first-line technical support and troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

·       Support the administration of firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers, and wireless networks.

·       Assist with user account management, access controls, and system permissions.

·       Participate in system upgrades, patch management, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.

·       Help maintain cybersecurity best practices, including monitoring alerts and supporting incident response activities.

·       Document network configurations, system changes, and technical procedures.

·       Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.

·       Support cloud-based services and hybrid infrastructure environments where applicable.

·       Assist in maintaining compliance with internal IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.

·       Stay up to date with emerging technologies and continuously develop technical knowledge and skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching)
• Familiarity with Cisco, Mikrotik, or Ubiquiti equipment is a plus
• Knowledge of Windows/Linux OS and basic scripting is an advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
• Relevant experience will be considered as advantage

• Fluency in Greek and English
