Job Profile:

Ararat – The Signature Collection is seeking Laundry Attendant who will be responsible for the efficient processing, cleaning, and organisation of all linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items in accordance with the Company’s standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation. The role ensures that all laundry operations are carried out efficiently, safely, and in line with operational requirements to support the smooth running of the property.

Job Description:

·        Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items in accordance with Ararat standards.

·        Operate laundry machinery and equipment safely and efficiently at all times.

·        Ensure all items are cleaned, processed, and presented to the highest hygiene and quality standards.

·        Inspect items for stains, damage, or wear and report any issues to the relevant supervisor.

·        Maintain proper handling, separation, and storage of clean and soiled laundry to prevent cross-contamination.

·        Monitor stock levels of laundry supplies (detergents, chemicals, and consumables) and report shortages in a timely manner.

·        Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene of the laundry area at all times.

·        Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and Company policies.

·        Assist the housekeeping and operations teams with additional duties when required to ensure smooth daily operations.

Person Specification:

·        Previous experience in a laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality environment will be considered an advantage.

·        Basic understanding of laundry processes and equipment operation.

·        Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.

·        Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

·        Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.

·        Reliable, responsible, and a strong team player.

·        Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight shifts

·        Fluent in English
