A dynamic international maritime organization is seeking to appoint an experienced maritime professional for the position of Maritime Technical Officer.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the organization's technical operations by ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations, providing technical assistance to stakeholders, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality maritime services.

Key Responsibities

• Issue Exemptions, Dispensations, Attestations or any other form of letters related to the application of Rules and Regulations.
• Review and process technical documentation relating to commercial vessels.
• Provide technical support on matters relating to statutory certification, regulatory compliance, and international maritime conventions.
• Liaise with classification societies, shipowners, ship managers, operators, and other maritime stakeholders.
• Support technical compliance initiatives and contribute to maintaining high quality and performance standards.
• Assist in the evaluation of vessel-related applications, technical submissions, and supporting documentation.
• Monitor regulatory developments and contribute to the implementation of applicable international maritime requirements.
• Maintain accurate technical records and prepare reports, technical summaries, and recommendations.
• Assist in the development and continuous improvement of technical procedures and internal processes.
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and external stakeholders, as required.
• Undertake additional technical duties and projects as assigned.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience within the maritime industry.
• Previous experience with a ship registry, classification society, flag administration, ship management company, or related maritime organization.
• Strong understanding of international maritime conventions, statutory certification, and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of Port State Control requirements and industry best practices will be considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic international environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
•  Fluent in English.
