Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for operational excellence, team development, and delivering outstanding customer experiences? We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our production facility and three bakery shops, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and driving continuous improvement across the business.

This is a key leadership role that will provide centralized oversight of both production and retail activities, strengthening communication, consistency, and performance throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

• Oversee daily production planning and scheduling.
• Ensure efficient coordination between departments.
• Manage product availability and distribution to all locations.
• Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Retail Operations

• Monitor and improve the performance of all three bakery shops.
• Maintain exceptional customer service standards.
• Ensure store presentation, cleanliness, and operational compliance.
• Support sales growth and customer satisfaction initiatives.

Team & Staff Management

• Manage employee scheduling and labour allocation across locations.
• Coordinate annual leave planning.
• Support recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Develop and motivate teams to achieve high performance.

Purchasing & Inventory Control

• Oversee ordering procedures and stock management.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor inventory levels and reduce waste.
• Implement effective cost-control measures.

Systems, Reporting & Performance

• Administer POS systems and operational processes.
• Prepare reports and analyze business performance.
• Monitor sales trends and key operational KPIs.
• Identify opportunities for increased efficiency and profitability.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure HACCP procedures and food safety standards are maintained.
• Monitor hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Conduct audits and implement corrective actions where required.
• Promote a culture of quality and compliance throughout the business.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in operations management, preferably within bakery, food production, retail, or hospitality environments.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with inventory control, reporting, and performance analysis.
• Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and locations.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
