VACANCY
Louis Hotels, a chain of 25 hotels & resorts with over 80 years of experience in the hospitality industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team in Paphos Breeze as the Pastry cook and contribute towards our commitment to excellence in hospitality.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and bread in accordance with the Akakiko standards.
- Execute the production and presentation of high-quality pastry items Upholding strict hygiene, safety, and sanitation practices to ensure food safety and a clean work environment.
- Contributing to waste reduction efforts.
- Collaborate closely with the chef to understand the menu requirements and ensure timely preparations.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with suppliers for ingredient orders.
Job Requirements:
· A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a pastry cook, preferably in a hotel or a restaurant.
· A culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
· Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry equipment, and ingredients.
· Strong attention to detail and precision in pastry preparation and presentation.
· commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.
· Knowledge of HACCP system and sanitation procedures.
· Very good command of Greek or English language.
· Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
· Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy items.
· EU Nationality or eligibility to work within the EU.
