Founded in 2009, CSHM is a pioneering research center in Cyprus dedicated to understanding hematological and solid malignancies. Closely affiliated with the Karaiskakio Foundation, CSHM operates within one of Europe’s most advanced integrated diagnostic and research ecosystems.
About the Role
The Centre for the Study of Haematological and Other Malignancies (CSHM), in collaboration with the Karaiskakio Foundation, is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Postdoctoral Researcher to join a cutting-edge program in cancer immunotherapy, with a focus on adoptive T cell therapy (ACT) and tumor microenvironment (TME) normalization.
The successful candidate will work on preclinical and translational research projects aiming to overcome immune evasion, enhance T cell infiltration, and improve therapeutic efficacy in solid tumors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mechanistic and therapeutic studies in murine models using ACT (e.g., TILs, TCR-engineered cells).
- Integrate immunological assays (flow cytometry, cytokine profiling), tissue imaging, and molecular analyses to assess treatment efficacy.
- Contribute to protocol development, data interpretation, publications, grant applications and collaborative research activities.
Essential Qualifications
- PhD in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Molecular Medicine, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on skills in flow cytometry, primary cell culture, and in vivo cancer models.
- Strong data analysis, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in adoptive T cell therapy, tumor immunology, or immune-oncology.
- Experience with fibrosis biology, stromal modulation, or vascular remodeling in cancer.
- Familiarity with immune checkpoint inhibitors, tumor rejection models, or intratumoral delivery systems.
- Experience with animal handling
