KSALL FINANCIAL SERVICES LTD is looking to hire an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Nicosia. The successful candidate will oversee the full accounting function, prepare financial statements and tax filings, and guide and support junior members of the accounting team.
Responsibilities:
This position has the following responsibilities and duties:
• Oversee the full accounting cycle, from bookkeeping to year-end closing
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
• Prepare corporate and personal income tax computations and returns (IR4, IR1, TD7 etc.)
• Review and submit VAT returns, VIES and Intrastat declarations
• Review payroll and ensure correct calculation of Social Insurance, GHS (GeSY) and income tax contributions
• Act as the main point of contact with the Tax Department, VAT Department and Social Insurance Services
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit files and supporting schedules
• Review bank, supplier, customer and intercompany reconciliations
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts and budgets
• Supervise, train and review the work of Accountants and Bookkeepers
• Ensure compliance with Cyprus tax legislation and internal financial controls
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting
• Handle client queries and maintain strong client relationships
• Perform any other related duties assigned by management from time to time
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have the following skills, education and experience:
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• ACCA, ACA or CPA qualification (fully qualified or in the final stages)
• 4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Cyprus tax legislation (VAT, corporate and personal income tax, Social Insurance)
• Experience preparing full sets of financial statements and tax computations
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure
• Excellent communication skills in Greek and English
• High integrity, professionalism and a proactive attitude
