We are looking for an experienced Senior Assistant Accountant to join our International Compilation Practice in Cyprus. In this role, you will prepare financial statements, review accounting records, support client-related activities, and assist senior team members on a wide range of accounting and advisory assignments.

This position is ideal for a professional who has already gained experience in accountancy and is looking to further develop their technical expertise, client relationship skills, and professional career within a growing international practice.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Assistant Accountant, you will play an important role in supporting our international client portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing financial statements and compilation files
• Maintaining and reviewing accounting records
• Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting processes
• Analysing financial information and identifying discrepancies
• Supporting senior team members with accounting and business advisory assignments
• Contributing to process improvements and efficiencies

• Assisting and supporting junior team members where appropriate

   

You will take ownership of your client portfolio while working closely with senior colleagues on more complex assignments. As your experience develops, you will be given increasing responsibility and opportunities to contribute to the growth of the practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accountancy, bookkeeping, compilation, or audit
• Experience preparing financial statements and year-end files
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
• Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage but not required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and client relationship management skills
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently
