CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Audit, Accounting & Tax-related services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Auditor to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Senior Auditor you will be responsible for carrying out audit engagements on behalf of both local and international clients. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field, who are ideally either fully qualified, or working towards a professional accounting qualification. You will need to possess approximately 3+ years of related experience in the Audit department of an audit firm. Broad knowledge of IFRSs & ISAs and a general tax knowledge is essential, and fluency in both Greek and English is a must. A highly attractive remuneration package is on offer based on skills and experience. With offices in Nicosia, our client is able to offer both hybrid and fully remote working conditions within Cyprus, along with flexible working hours.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Audit of a portfolio of clients both local and international.
• Preparation of financial statements of clients in line with IFRS.
• Preparation of management accounts as required by clients.
• Preparation of clients’ tax returns.
• Ensure clients receive the best possible service.
• Completion of jobs with minimal supervision to deadlines and within budget.
• Reporting to the Manager on daily tasks and client issues.
• Mentor Associates by coaching and assisting them in the management of all aspects of their work.
• Supervise multiple concurrent engagements and direct the preparation and completion of reports, accounts, and financial statements.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

 

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or similar is desirable.
• ACCA/ACA qualification will be considered as an advantage.
• Approximately 3+ years of audit experience.
• Fluency in English and Greek.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
• Caseware Audit International knowledge will be considered as an advantage.
• Dynamic, innovative, and multitasking.
• Excellent communication & organisational skills.    
• High attention to detail.
• Quick learner.
