CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an independent private equity real estate firm with offices in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Bookkeeper to join their growing team on either a Part or Full-Time basis. As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will primarily be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records across multiple entities located in different jurisdictions. Our client is seeking applicants who possess 5+ years of solid bookkeeping/accounting experience, preferably within a busy and fast-paced multi-entity environment. You will need to be fluent in both Greek and English, and be a confident user of MS Excel. An attractive remuneration package is on offer based on skills and experience, with the option of both Part and Full-Time hours available.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records across multiple entities located in different jurisdictions.
- Process accounting entries, supplier invoices, and payments in a disciplined and timely manner.
- Organise weekly and monthly payment runs and liaise with suppliers to resolve queries and confirm payments.
- Prepare monthly trial balances, bank, supplier and other reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Support VAT compliance and assist with preparation of financial reporting.
- Assist the finance team with ad hoc financial analysis and operational support.
- Utilise accounting systems and platforms efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with senior finance management and team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ solid bookkeeping/accounting experience, preferably within a busy and fast-paced multi-entity environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (IFRS knowledge is an advantage).
- Proficient in MS Excel (including formulas and reconciliations) and online banking platforms.
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is desirable.
- Fluency in Greek and English, both written and verbal, is essential.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, maintain strong attention to detail and meet deadlines.
