CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Audit & Accounting Firm with offices in the heart of Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Client Accountant to join their growing team. As a Senior Client Accountant, you will supervise and guide a team of accounting and bookkeeping professionals, ensuring a portfolio of both local and international clients receive an excellent level of service. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in relevant field of study, who possess approximately 5+ years of previous experience gained working for a professional services firm. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience, along with excellent working hours.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Supervision and guidance of a team of accountants.
• Review of bookkeeping and accounting records (VAT, TBs).
• Management of a portfolio of mostly international clients and local clients.
• Direct communication with clients.
• Assistance with audit preparation and year-end procedures.
• Coordination and monitoring of daily accounting department operations.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in an accounting and/or audit firm.
• Very good knowledge of Cyprus VAT legislation and accounting principles.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.

 

Working Hours: 

• 38 hours per week.
• Two days per week: 08:00 – 15:00.
• Two days per week: 08:00 – 17:30.
• Friday: 08:00 – 14:00.
