Senior Freight Forwarding Coordinator, Nicosia – FFC/06/26
Our client is seeking to recruit an experienced and motivated Senior Freight Forwarding Coordinator to join its team in Nicosia. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating international freight operations, ensuring the efficient movement of cargo, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Forwarding Department.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of the Forwarding Department, ensuring shipments are executed efficiently, safely, and on schedule.
- Manage incoming email enquiries and quotation requests from clients and global agents.
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotations tailored to cargo type, routing, and delivery requirements.
- Follow up on quotations to convert opportunities into confirmed business and strengthen client relationships.
- Coordinate shipments with shipping lines, airlines, and road freight partners, ensuring smooth execution.
- Maintain clear and proactive communication with clients throughout the shipment lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with partners, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Record quotations, bookings, and operational updates in FreightPLUS, ensuring data accuracy and traceability.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, quality standards, and operational processes.
- Support business development initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance customer service and grow existing accounts.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar Freight Forwarding or Logistics Coordination role is essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical thinking and sound decision-making abilities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with logistics systems; knowledge of FreightPLUS will be considered an advantage.

- Interest in developing long‑term client relationships and understanding customer needs.
- Confidence in following up on quotes, identifying opportunities, and supporting the commercial team.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, partners, and agents.
- A proactive mindset toward spotting upselling or cross‑selling opportunities (e.g., suggesting alternative routes or services).
- Comfort participating in client calls, meetings, or presentations when needed.
- Curiosity about market trends, pricing, and competitor activity within the freight industry.
Remuneration & Benefits
- Salary range: € 1,900 – €2,500 gross per month (x13), depending on experience.
- Full-time, on-premises position.
- Remote working arrangements may be considered where necessary.
