C.I.P. Citizens In Power (CIP) is a non-profit, educational and research organization. CIP constitutes one of the leading organizations in Cyprus in the fields of global education, social innovation, entrepreneurship, STEM and sustainable growth. CIP has been involved in more than 100 EU-funded projects, including KA2, AMIF, ENI CBC Med, COSME, CERV, PRIMA, and Horizon Europe.

The organization has a long tradition in designing and preparing successful proposals that are submitted under the context of various European Calls: Erasmus+ (KA2; KA3); Asylum Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF); ENI CBC MED; INTERREG; COSME; Horizon Europe. Therefore, the organization is interested in hiring an experienced (Senior) Proposal Writer who will prepare project proposals from scratch with minimum supervision. The successful candidate will be offered a very attractive remuneration package in accordance with his/her qualifications and previous research experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Contribute to the formation of strategies for the organization’s four Departments, on the basis of which the new research proposals will be developed
• Prepare research proposals, grant applications, and tenders with minimum supervision
• Establish relationships with international project partners for the development of new projects and programs
• Manage and train junior researchers and project managers whilst providing feedback and recommendations for further improvement on their writing and research ability
• Manage projects and prepare reports for C.I. P’s current projects
• Represent C.I.P. abroad in various educational events

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in any field, preferably in an Education related field
• Master’s Degree in a related field is mandatory, preferably from an English-speaking University
• Outstanding use of English language, both in writing and orally
• Proven Experience in designing and implementing research and innovation projects and initiatives (EU-funded or other)
• Proven understanding of the use of new technologies in teaching and learning
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask in an effective and efficient manner
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to form strategies and take initiatives
• Excellent communication and management skills
• Strong problem-solving, organization, and negotiation skills

Desired Qualifications and Skills

• PhD in any relevant field, preferably in Education
• Proven experience in proposal writing for European projects, including Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, or other relevant EU funding programs
• Proven experience in coordinating research teams
• Comprehensive understanding of the different levels of education, such as primary, secondary, higher & adult education and VET
• Outstanding use of Greek language
