The Role:

The Senior QA Engineer plans and coordinates testing for assigned products and releases. The role includes manual testing, test automation, defect investigation and reviewing the work of other QA engineers. The engineer works with Product and Engineering to clarify requirements, identify testing gaps and resolve quality issues.

Customer

·       Provide Product, Engineering and business teams with accurate test results, defect reports and details of any testing gaps.

·       Verify that customer-facing features work as specified, including payment processing, data accuracy, error handling and recovery where applicable.

·       Support Operations with defect investigations and provide testing records for audit requests.

Accountability

·       Own test scope, estimates, coverage and completion reporting for assigned changes and releases.

·       Ensure critical journeys are tested and unresolved defects, gaps and risks are communicated before release.

·       Maintain reliable automation and follow defects through investigation, retesting and regression checks.

·       Report test results, outstanding defects and testing gaps before each release, and provide a QA recommendation under the agreed sign-off process.

Engagement

·       Agree priorities and coverage with Product, Engineering and QA; communicate progress, blockers and risks                      promptly.

·       Work with DevOps, ProdOps, Security and business operations on environments, investigations and specialist                  checks.

·       Use evidence and customer impact to resolve disagreements; share knowledge and support pod quality goals.

Core Competencies:

·       Test design: advanced test techniques, risk-based coverage, traceability and defect prevention.

·       Automation: reusable components, maintainable frameworks, stable execution and cross-browser or device testing.

·       API and integration: mocks, stubs, retries, rate limits, resilience and error handling.

·       CI/CD: quality controls, reporting, artefacts, flaky-test tracking and pipeline efficiency.

·       Non-functional testing: analyse performance, reliability and security findings with relevant specialists.

·       Data and SQL: data-driven testing, production-like datasets and data-integrity checks.

·       Core behaviors: clear communication, reliable planning, complex problem solving, cross-team collaboration, stakeholder management and CARE.

Skills and Requirements:

-BSc/MSc Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

-3 years of proven work experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation

-Strong knowledge of software QC methodologies, tools processes

-Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

-Strong background in QA and testing practices – test case design based on functional and non-functional requirements, test automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment, and defect analysis.

-Strong sense of ownership and accountability with a commitment to delivering high-quality software that balances technical and business goals.

-Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.

-Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual.
