Role in Brief

We are looking for a skilled Software Developer to work on the design, development and continuous improvement of client-facing systems within the fast-moving alternative investment industry.

You will be part of an international, collaborative environment where technology plays an important role in delivering a high-quality experience to our clients.

Insights to the Role

• Develop and maintain high-quality web applications, with a strong focus on user experience.
• Build reliable and maintainable software using modern development practices.
• Contribute to our continuous integration and weekly release cycle.
• Work within a test-driven development environment.
• Refactor and enhance existing code to improve security, performance, maintainability and resilience.
• Accurately assess and estimate development requirements and timelines.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and the overall user experience.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts and business users in an international environment.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies, development practices and design trends.

Who You Are

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong programming and problem-solving skills.
• Strong experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript, JavaScript testing and modern web development practices.
• A basic understanding of HTML, CSS and LESS.
• Experience with Angular, in particular experience/knowledge of e-charts.
• Experience with Apache Tapestry, or an interest and ability to quickly become proficient in the framework.
• A degree in Computer Science or another relevant scientific discipline with programming experience, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• The ability to work effectively as part of an international and collaborative team.
