AEON Payment Technologies is a payment system solution provider with a Payment Institution License granted by the Central Bank of Cyprus. We offer a comprehensive range of services in the payment processing industry, including Schemes and Proprietary Debit/Credit/Prepaid Card Issuing, Clearing, Authorization, Reconciliation, Merchant Acquiring, Transaction Management, Infrastructure Support and Maintenance, PCI Compliance, Schemes Compliance, end-to-end Processing, and Consultancy.

System Administrator 

Location: 

AEON Payment Technology Office (Nicosia - On-Premises) 

Job Type & Working Hours: 

Full Time: 09:00—18:00 (1-hour lunch break) 

Overview:

Responsible for the daily administration, maintenance, monitoring, and support of AEON Payment Technologies' IT infrastructure across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. 

The role ensures reliable and secure operation of enterprise systems and supports business-critical payment-processing services in accordance with established IT procedures, security policies, and applicable compliance requirements. 

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, and enterprise infrastructure services. 

- Support AWS infrastructure operations, including EC2, networking, access permissions, and related cloud services. 

- Perform server provisioning, configuration, patching, upgrades, maintenance, and system health checks. 

- Monitor infrastructure availability, performance, logs, and alerts, investigating issues and escalating complex incidents when necessary. 

- Implement approved infrastructure security configurations, vulnerability remediation, and access controls. 

- Support PCI DSS-related technical requirements, security assessments, and audit activities. 

- Maintain networking services, VPNs, firewalls, SSL/TLS certificates, and secure connectivity. 

- Monitor backup operations and assist with recovery testing and disaster recovery procedures. 

- Support Microsoft 365, identity management, and corporate IT services. 

- Troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues affecting internal applications and payment-processing services. 

- Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, technical projects, and automation initiatives. 

- Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and infrastructure inventories. 

Required Qualifications & Experience 

- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience. 

- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant systems administration experience. 

- Hands-on experience administering Windows Server and Linux operating systems. 

- Working knowledge of AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure. 

- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, networking, and enterprise authentication. 

- Familiarity with patch management, security best practices, monitoring, and backup solutions. 

- Experience troubleshooting production systems and enterprise infrastructure. 

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
