The Company

Hydro-Comp is an international Information technology and consulting company specialising in integrated management information systems (called EDAMS) and related services for Utilities, Municipalities and Government Environmental departments. (www.hydro-comp.com / www.edams.com). 

The position

Systems & Support Engineer

The primary function of the position will be the technical support of EDAMS systems (Billing, Network Asset Management, Operations & Maintenance).

This advert is targeted at graduates, among others.
 

Requirements

• Electrical engineering or Computer Science degree.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server environment and operating system.
• Experience in the use of MS SQL Server and good knowledge of SQL.
• Excellent command of the English language both written and oral.
• Desire and ability to work in a challenging environment.
• Critical thinking and problem solving ability.

Responsibilities

• End-user support (on-site, telephonic & Internet).
• Installation, set-up and configuration of EDAMS systems and ancillary products (e.g. MS SQL Server, Crystal Reports).
• Training of end-users (managers, systems administrators and operational staff)
• On-site assistance in the operation of EDAMS systems.
• Development of reports, dashboards and SQL scripts.
