Leonardo Boutique Hotel Venetian Nicosia is dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences through safe, well-maintained, and fully functional facilities. Our Technical Department ensures that all equipment, installations, and hotel areas operate smoothly and efficiently.

Job Summary:

The Technician is responsible for performing maintenance tasks assigned by supervisors, ensuring the proper functioning of hotel facilities and equipment, and contributing to the overall safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction at the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all assigned maintenance tasks in hotel facilities, including rooms, public areas, and technical installations, according to work instructions and departmental policies.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs and repair faults in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other technical areas.
• Ensure all equipment and installations are operational during assigned shifts, whether morning or night.
• Maintain all department work areas clean and organized, including engine rooms, workshops, and storage areas.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with superiors, peers, and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Inform the Chief Engineer of any events, issues, or irregularities in the hotel related to this position.
• Demonstrate initiative and responsibility, particularly regarding Health & Safety, fire prevention, and the correct use of protective equipment.
• Complete daily inspection forms and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure the protection of guest property while performing maintenance tasks in rooms and other areas.
• Be familiar with all hotel policies, procedures, and the physical layout of the premises, including emergency and evacuation plans.
• Implement GDPR requirements to protect personal information of guests and staff.
• Follow the hotel’s Health & Safety Rules & Regulations and report all accidents or incidents according to procedures.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management that are related to the department.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance or technical roles.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry concepts.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Greek and English.
• Competency in mathematical calculations for technical measurements.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly, demonstrating initiative.
• Pleasant, professional demeanor, and willingness to serve guests and support colleagues.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and technical troubleshooting.
