Job Overview

As a member of the Golden Monkey team, you will be responsible for delivering impeccable, personalised food and beverage service in an elegant and sophisticated environment. You will ensure that every guest receives a warm welcome, attentive service and expert guidance throughout their dining experience, consistently upholding the high standards and reputation of the restaurant and resort.

Main Responsibilities & Duties

• Welcome, greet and seat guests in a warm, professional and gracious manner, creating an excellent first impression.
• Deliver attentive, personalised and efficient food and beverage service in accordance with fine-dining standards and established service procedures.
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the restaurant's menu, ingredients, preparation methods and beverage selection, providing informed recommendations and answering guests' questions confidently.
• Guide guests through the menu, recommend dishes and beverages, and confidently apply upselling techniques to enhance the dining experience.
• Ensure tables are impeccably set and maintained, paying close attention to presentation, cleanliness and every detail of the guest experience.
• Maintain full control of the assigned station, ensuring all mise-en-place, equipment and service areas are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
• Anticipate guests' needs and respond to requests, enquiries and feedback promptly, courteously and professionally.
• Build positive relationships with guests, encouraging guest satisfaction, loyalty and repeat visits.
• Follow all opening and closing procedures, service sequences, hygiene standards and operational policies.
• Work closely with colleagues and the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication, smooth service and consistent food and beverage quality.
• Maintain a polished, professional appearance in accordance with the restaurant's grooming and uniform standards.
• Promote the Golden Monkey dining experience and the wider food and beverage offerings of St Raphael Resort & Marina.
• Adhere to all resort policies relating to health, safety, hygiene and environmental practices.
• Perform other reasonable duties as required to support the smooth operation of the restaurant and exceed guest expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of two years' experience in the Food & Beverage industry.
• Previous experience as a waiter or waitress in a 4- or 5-star hotel, resort or fine-dining restaurant is essential.
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
• Holders of a valid EU passport is essential.
• A diploma in Hospitality or Hotel Management will be considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of fine-dining service standards, food and beverage pairing, and professional service etiquette will be highly regarded.
