This is a fantastic opportunity to join the exclusive Cyprus member firm of Nexia International, a leading global network of independent accounting and consulting firms, offering Nexia Poyiadjis the unique opportunity to benefit from a wide range of international resources and expertise.&nbsp;&nbsp; At our firm, we take great pride in offering a nurturing and rewarding career path for our staff, fostering both personal and professional growth.&nbsp;&nbsp;Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage and oversee VAT compliance for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate and timely preparation and submission of VAT returns and related filings.</li><li>Maintain responsibility for accounting work for a portfolio of clients, including reviewing bookkeeping, reconciliations, and ensuring alignment between accounting records and VAT reporting.</li><li>Act as the primary point of contact for clients on VAT compliance matters, handling queries and providing practical guidance on day-to-day VAT issues.</li><li>Review and ensure the correct VAT treatment within financial records, identifying and resolving discrepancies.</li><li>Liaise with VAT authorities on compliance matters, including queries, audits, and submissions, ensuring timely and effective resolution.</li><li>Monitor and ensure adherence to local VAT regulations and deadlines, minimizing compliance risks for clients.</li><li>Support clients with VAT registrations, deregistrations, and ongoing compliance obligations.</li><li>Assist with basic VAT advisory where required, particularly in relation to transactions and routine business activities.</li><li>Conduct periodic VAT checks and reconciliations as part of the accounting review process.</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency between accounting, tax, and VAT reporting.</li><li>Monitor legislative changes in VAT and communicate relevant updates to clients and internally.</li><li>Provide guidance and support to team members on VAT matters, reviewing relevant areas and ensuring quality and accuracy.</li></ul>&nbsp;Candidate Profile&nbsp;<ul><li>Degree Graduate in Accounting, Tax, Finance, Law, Economics, or related field.</li><li>ACCA/ACA/CPA member</li><li>Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.</li><li>Strong experience managing communications with Tax/VAT authorities.</li><li>Excellent command of written and spoken English and Greek.</li><li>Strong business awareness and high ethical standards.</li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical judgment skills.</li><li>Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor others.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and professional skills.</li><li>Team-oriented with a strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.</li><li>Excellent knowledge of MS Office programs</li></ul>&nbsp; Benefits<ul><li>A competitive remuneration package, which includes performance-based bonuses</li><li>A vibrant and collaborative working environment</li><li>Ongoing professional training and development opportunities</li><li>Commitment to work-life balance initiatives to ensure a healthy personal and professional life.</li><li>Comprehensive medical and life insurance coverage</li><li>Provident fund</li><li>Early Friday afternoons off</li><li>Smart Casual dress code</li><li>Flexible working hours (flextime)</li><li>Paid sick leave</li><li>Paid&nbsp;parking</li></ul>&nbsp;To apply for this position please email your CV to&nbsp;<a href="mailto:humancapital@nexia.com.cy">humancapital@nexia.com.cy</a>&nbsp;quoting the above job title.&nbsp;&nbsp;Kindly note that only shortlisted candidates will be responded to.&nbsp;
